Less than 3 weeks to go!!

How is time moving so quickly??? We have 2 and a half weeks, and then it is here! It is really hard to believe. We are so excited! Thank you to everyone who RSVPed. We've got a good group of people coming up to the lake. This is going to be fun!

We took a drive up to Moon Lake the weekend before last, and it is just beautiful right now. The weather has stayed in the 70's, which is not typical for that area this time of year. Keep your fingers crossed that I haven't jinxed us, and that the weather stays this nice.

Just to give you all a better idea as to what to expect, here's a little run down on how the weekend will go. We will be arriving at the lake sometime Thursday. We have the cabins reserved for Friday and Saturday night, so we would like to have a casual get together/pot luck Friday evening to kick off the weekend. If you are staying at the lake, or somewhere near, please join us. Bring something to drink, and something to share, i.e. and appetizer, dessert, chips, whatever you want. Or just bring yourself.

Saturday, the wedding ceremony will begin at 3:00 pm. The exact location is yet to be determined, but it will likely be down by the lake, and definitely somewhere on the resort grounds. If you are driving up that day, feel free to park at any of the cabins, and come find us. Raph and I will be staying in cabin #1 (right next to the lodge) if you get lost.

Following the ceremony, we will be having a reception with dinner (think camping food, but yummy camping food), drinks, and hopefully dancing, if the weather permits.

Please note that the cell phone reception in that area is not great. The number to the lodge at the lake is
(435)-454-3142. If you need to get a hold of us that may be the best way to do so. Also, if you are leaving young ones at home, you could give this number to their sitters in case of emergency.

We have also had several people ask about a gift registry. We have registered at www.ourwishingwell.com. There are a few things that we have been saving our pennies for, so if you feel inclined, you can check it out here:

I'll leave you with that for now...

Answering a few questions

A few of you have had a few questions, and I'm sure that many of you are wondering the same thing, so I thought I would answer them in a post.

First, people are wondering what they should wear? First and foremost, we want all of our guests to be comfortable. We are getting married in the mountains, and the weather can be a bit unpredictable. One minute it can be raining, and the next minute it is hot and sunny. The show will go on, rain or shine, so we suggest bringing appropriate clothing for rain, sun, and even snow. That being said, we are planning for a semi-formal ceremony. However, if you want to wear jeans, or a tuxedo, or your bathing suit, or your Halloween costume, please do!

Second, we have been asked if people can bring their dogs. Dogs are allowed at Moon Lake, but need to be leashed. We would prefer to include only those of the human species in the ceremony and reception, so please keep this in mind when considering whether or not to bring your pet.

The wedding will be taking place on the beach, near the lake. We will have signs to guide you to where you need to go. A reception will follow on the vollyball court. We will be serving dinner, so if you have any special dietary needs, please be sure to let us know.

If there are other questions, please feel free to ask. I am sure that others will have the same questions.

Things are starting to come together, I think...

Ok, I think I am starting to figure this whole blogging thing out. I'm not sure why I could not wrap my brain around it... I think I'll blame it on lack of sleep. Yes, that sounds about right.

Hopefully everyone has received their invitations by now. Thank you to those who have already RSVPed! It's so exciting to see a new one come through. I've added a comment section to the RSVP page, so please leave one and let everyone else know if you will be attending.

We are busy working on decorations, and finalizing the details. At times I think we may have bitten off more than we can chew. This wedding stuff is a lot of work. But we are having fun doing it.

I will leave you with a few of our favorite photos from the lake. Enjoy!

oh hey, you found us!

Well believe it or not, we are running behind! (Don't judge, this blogging thing is hard!) If you are here, and the blog isn't incredibly, aesthetically amazing, don't panic...it will be soon. The RSVP link is working, so please feel free to use it, and then check back for more information soon!

Thanks for visiting!

Love,

Kristen
